Mark Talaeai is running to represent District 47, stretching from Kahana Bay to Waialua. He grew up in a military family and spent most of his childhood in Whitmore Village. He is the creator of the Instagram account @meanhawaii. This is his second run for the seat; he was the Republican nominee in 2022 and carried 85 percent of the Republican primary vote in 2026.
